NEW TECHNOLOGIES

In recent months, Prystup Packaging has undertaken three capital improvement projects which represent a significant savings for customers, in addition to improving quality and efficiency. In December 2004, a new state-of-the-art computer-to-plate graphic reproduction system was installed. Eliminating steps in the graphic transfer process guarantees accuracy and significantly reduces costs for the customer.

Early in 2005, the first Komori printer (Livingston plant) was outfitted with an Epic Dampening system which has dramatically improved print quality. Later that year, the printer was completely overhauled.

Finally, in anticipation of the bottleneck which usually accompanies growth, a new two-station Bobst die cutter has recently been installed in the Livingston plant.

By the Spring of 2006, restoration of a second Komori printer will be complete. Since the issue of die cutting capacity has already been addressed, bringing the second Komori on line will double the production capability of the Livingston plant from $10,000,000 to $20,000,000 annually.
