  • The roof of the Livingston facility was treated with a Duracool coating in 2010 in an effort to reflect heat and reduce energy used in air conditioning.
  • Our facilities consume minimal water and discharge minimal pollutants.
  • Transportation and deliveries are coordinated with an emphasis on efficiency and reduced fuel consumption
  • Over 90% of the paper utilized in Prystup’s manufacturing is recycled and all production waste is collected, separated, bundled, and sent to local converters/recyclers—a practice which saves on energy and fuel consumption.
  • Prystup uses mineral oil free inks which are more environmentally friendly than their petroleum-based counterparts and increase the recyclability of printed paper waste.
  • In 2011, Prystup earned Chain of Custody Certification with the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®).
  • In 2017, Prystup earned SFI Sourcing Certification from the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®).
  • LED lighting in all warehouses reduces energy usage.

Health and Well Being

A plant safety program is managed by an internal safety manager. Prystup also cooperates with the University of West Alabama Wellness Center to offer discounted fitness center memberships to employees.

Employee Nurturing

Prystup practices extensive coaching and mentoring for our employees. Additionally, our company also promotes almost exclusively from an in-house training program.


Other initiatives, including tuition reimbursement and specialty training programs (OJT and Safety), are just some of the other ways Prystup shows a commitment to talent sustainability.

Family Legacy

P.P.P. is now developing our third generation of leadership. This is part of a detailed succession plan designed by our company’s founders and Board of Directors to maintain Prystup’s legacy as a closely held business.

Diverse Supplier Certification

Prystup was nationally certified as a Native American Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) in 1991. Additionally, the prestigious Corporate Plus honor (since 1998) is very important to our company.

In 2015, Prystup was nationally certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the U.S.
